Road to Nantes

Taking advice from Rachel to see Brittany, I cycle north towards Nantes. There are no dedicated bike paths, but the country roads are very quiet. The one thing that I notice is that there are so few cafes en route, in comparison to Portugal and Spain. These are very practical for me as not only a place to have a coffee, but also to charge my phone, use the WiFi, fill my water bottles and freshen up. The next best option are the large hypermarchés (supermarkets) like Intermarche, as these have toilets, a cafe and even a place to do laundry, although they do lack any atmosphere of course.
Each of the small villages I encounter does have an oversized and quite ornate church. There are also lots of automatic pizza dispensaries.... not yet been so desperate as to use these.
